Do you have problems with the same site over and over and want to remove it from your account creation screen? This is useful if a site like xanga has blocked your IP and you don’t use proxies. Or if you feel like edublogs is always deleting anything and you don’t want to even bother with them any more.

All you need to do is go to c:\users\youruser\AppData\Local\SENukeX\Config. The path may differ on your system. Replace “youruser” with the user you’re logged in with. Then right click on the aclist.xml file and choose Open With > Notepad.

This file is just a list of the different sites you can create accounts at. It’s in a language called XML. You really don’t need to know anything about how XML works, we’re just going to add a tag to the sites we don’t want to show up.

To remove Xanga you would find it’s line and change

<Site Index=”19″ Name=”Xanga” PR=”7″ Submitter=”Web”/>

to

<Site Index=”19″ Name=”Xanga” PR=”7″ Submitter=”Web” HideInAccountCreation=”True”/>

So you can see we’re just adding a little piece of info that tells SEnuke not to show that account in the account creation screen. Restart SEnuke and you won’t see it any more.

Every time you update SEnuke you’ll need to redo this step.

I see so many people asking about “the best” when it comes to SEnuke or SEO in general. On the SEnuke forums there are threads started almost daily asking which wizard template is best or which link sources are the best. When I see these threads I can instantly tell it’s someone who hasn’t been in SEO very long. If you’re going to last in this industry very long you have to quickly learn…

There is no such thing as “best” with anything in SEO

Let that sink in a bit. Nothing you ever do will be “the best.” And when you’re asking for advice on a forum it’s really hard to even have a “better” because you’re not going to share enough information and no one is going to spend the time doing the proper research to be able to tell you correctly which is better.

Now you’re saying you can’t even figure out a “better”?

In a very broad sense social network links are “better” than forum profile links because you control the content on the page, and you can have several hundred words of related content. But quality of incoming links is only one part of the equation when you’re working on ranking a page. Search engines also like to see a wide array of domains linking back to a site. That’s what forum profiles are better for and they are vastly superior for that than almost any other link type. So without knowing which problem the site needs to overcome to rank better you can’t really say which is better.

But there is good news. Now you don’t have to spend any time worrying about the best way to do things. Start using all of the modules you can. Build your “higher quality” social networking links and your huge variety of forum profile links. Neither is a waste of time, despite what anyone tells you. Forum profiles aren’t as effective as they were 3 years ago, but neither is anything else.

If you run a bunch of WordPress sites you know how much of a pain it can be to update all of them. Using WordPress Multiuser can help, but that only works for sites on the same server, and not all plugins work with it so it’s not always an ideal solution.

Once you have several sites running it can quickly become a time-consuming pain to have to go in and apply all of your updates.

Enter WordPress Updater.

This is an .exe that you run any time you want to update your WordPress sites. It updates the main WordPress installation, plugins and themes, all with 1 click. You just enter all of your sites in a .txt file and it takes care of the rest.

About a month ago I started using a new service to help build authority to my money sites. I wanted to share my experience so far and help you get the rankings I’ve seen.

As you might have guessed, the service is AuthorityLinkNetwork. It’s a private blog network with over 4,000 WordPress powered blogs. You might have heard about services like this before, but this network is completely different. Most networks have two major downsides: you have to pay to post and the sites/posts are not well regulated. Let’s look at each of those in more depth.

Pay To Post

In these networks, you’re paying for each post you’re making to the network. If you want to make a few posts each day, this can add up quickly to be very expensive. The nice part about these networks is since the owners are charging, they are generally able to maintain them pretty well.

Poor Regulation

Many other networks fall prey to getting too large too quickly and cannot maintain the quality that got them large in the first place. Or they just don’t care about quality and they let any types of posts on the network. Neither of these situations work out well for you.

How ALN Is Different

ALN is 100% free to join, and there aren’t even any paid upgrade options. You’ll never be asked for a penny. You might think that being free their blogs are awful. This is the brilliance of the network. Every site that is added needs to be a PR2 to be approved, although it can drop after it’s approved and still be used. You also can’t post to the network unless you have sites in it. Every article you want to submit costs you a point, and you earn points each day based on the PR of the sites you add. For instance, a PR2 site earns you 1 point a day, while a PR4 site gets you 3.

What’s Happening With My Sites

Much of what I’m posting is going to sites that already have a fair amount of authority, so a month of posting isn’t going to make much difference. A couple of the keywords I’ve gone after I’ve seen go from nowhere to top 10 though, just targeting with ALN links.

What’s fairly impressive is a couple of new sites I’ve launched. One on June 28th and the other on July 6th. I’ve talked about these sites on the SEnuke forums. The first site I ended up picking a bit of a bad keyword, so I haven’t promoted it a lot. Still, in just over a month it already has a PR of 1. The second site is even better. I’ve had it a week less, but it’s ranking really well for it’s target keywords and is a PR2. I have run SEnuke to the second site as well, so that would contribute to why it’s doing better.

This can’t be considered a replacement for SEnuke, but since it’s free if you have at least 1 PR2 domain you can add to the network it should be something you look in to.

I’m pretty sure most people would love to get 90% of their URLs indexed. Xindexer gets about 30% indexed on their free accounts and 40% on the paid accounts. For the free accounts, that’s great. 30% of your links you don’t have to worry about.

But if you were getting three times as many URLs indexed, you would have to do one third of the work to get the same results. You could also think of it as, in the same amount of time you’re spending on one site right now you could be working on three instead.

Time is by far the biggest limiting factor we all have. By having to do a third as much work per site that’s giving you more time.

My tips I have on the site should get you up to 50-60% without having to spend any money, but they all take time.

If you want to get great indexing without a ton of work, check out Backlinks Indexer. But don’t just start throwing links in to it. I want to teach you how to get the best of it.

Optimize The URLs You’re Adding To Backlinks Indexer

First, be sure you’re running your social networking sites through xindexer, and if you have free URLs left at the end of the day put other link types in too. Since it’s free, let it index as many URLs as it can for you. Submit to xindexer the day you create the sites to get it working as fast as possible.

The next step is to wait a week. I know this sounds like a long time, but it’s needed. If you need to remember which URLs to check, add a reminder to a calendar and include the campaign name so you can easily find the URLs you need. After the week is up you want to make sure that the links are still alive. Use the Scrapebox check links function to make sure the links are still on the page.

Take the URLs that still have your links on them, and then use Scrapebox to check for the ones that are already indexed. No need to be submitting those to Backlinks Indexer. At this point you have your cleaned list of URLs you will be adding to Backlinks Indexer.

This is where things get easy. Log in to your Backlinks Indexer account and go to your dashboard. Now you just upload the .txt file that has your alive, unindexed links. Wait a couple weeks and you will be amazed at the number of pages getting indexed, and what those extra indexed pages mean to your search rankings.

After you go to their site, be sure to check out their comparison page. A third party did a test of several popular indexing services using forum profile URLs. Those are by far the hardest to get indexed. Backlink Indexer got 97.4% of the URLs indexed in 15 days. Xindexer took second place with 38% (with a paid account).

A Couple Other Cool Features

They don’t appear to have a limit on the number of URLs you can have queued up and ready to go. If you have a couple thousand URLs to add, you can add them all at once, instead of only 500 at a time.

They have a feature to automatically re-process links if your queue gets emptied. If you don’t do a lot of nuking, or you’re worried you might forget to add links to the system occasionally, they will pick up the slack for you and make sure you’re getting your number of links built every day.

They use more than just a blog network to build your links, and they use a slightly different combination of sites to link to each URL you add so they aren’t creating a footprint. Looking at the number of sites they have on different platforms is impressive, and they are growing it each week.

You get a 5 day free trial. You’re probably not going to get a ton indexed in those 5 days, but it will give you a good idea of how easy the system is to use. If you’re going to sign up, I would stick with it for a month before deciding if it’s worth it.

Choosing A Package

This is really going to depend on the volume you need, but I’m going to guess that most people can get away with their smallest package. That’s 50 URLs processed through their system each day and a total of 20,000 backlinks they build to those pages each month. That’s only $15/month. Getting 300% effectiveness from SEnuke by adding 10% to the cost seems like a really good deal to me

I haven’t been shy about letting people know that I’m not a fan of linkwheels. They are very easy to track. I still hate them for tier 1 sites, when you want things separated as much as possible. But on tier 2 sites, where the goal is to push some link juice into your tier 1 sites and help get them indexed, they can actually be quite useful. Here is the best way to make use of linkwheels.

Do a run of social networking sites. These should have a link back to your money site and are your tier 1 sites.

Next, do a run of the profile account creation module. The more sites you have, the better. You can sign up for my list if you need more, or import your own. Create accounts at all of the sites you can.

Finally, do your profile posting project. Select modify about me, but don’t have anything in it. Select add links, and choose the URL list you created with the social networking sites. Have it add just 1 of those links. Then select Add #lasturl# too.

Now you will have several hundred (or several thousand) profile sites in a giant linkwheel, also pointing to your tier 1 sites. Being in the linkwheel, it’s more likely that once one of the profiles get indexed, it will help index the rest. The more that get indexed, the more links and link juice will be pointing in to your tier 1 sites and that will naturally push more in to your money site.

I should say that many people still do report having good success with linkwheels on their tier 1 sites. Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean it can’t work

This post comes to you thanks to some inspiration. I don’t use this myself, but I can’t imagine it not working with any of the sites as they all allow images as far as I’m aware.

What we are going to do is set up a little script that tracks which social networking sites are getting the most traffic. This is only going to track the overall site, not which posts. But you can use this to get a feel for which are getting traffic, which are likely the ones ranking better. You can then take that info and either focus on pushing that site into the top 10 along with your site for another spot, or maybe even doing special posting there to try to convert the traffic instead of just using it for the backlink.

The first part is really easy. We just want to insert an image tag in to our social networking project. What many people might not know is that you don’t have to actually call an image using the img tag. You can call a .php file as well. So our img tag we’re going to add to our post is

<img src="http://yoursite.com/track.php?site=#site#" height="1" width="1" />

yoursite.com is a site you own. track.php is the script we’re going to be creating that tracks the hits. #site# is an SEnuke placeholder that inserts the name of the site that’s being submitted to.

Our track.php file is going to be pretty simple. All we need to do is grab the site that’s being loaded and determine if it’s already in the database. If it is we increment the hits by 1. If it’s not it gets added and the number of hits is set to 1.

<?php
$site = $_GET['site'];
$link = mysql_connect('localhost', 'mysql_user', 'mysql_password');
if (!$link) {
    die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error());
}
$db_selected = mysql_select_db('foo', $link);
if (!$db_selected) {
    die ('Can\'t use foo : ' . mysql_error());
}

$query = "SELECT site FROM track WHERE site='$site'";
$result = mysql_query($query);
if(mysql_num_rows($result) > 0) {
	$query = "UPDATE track SET hits=hits+1 WHERE site='$site'";
	$result2 = mysql_query($query);
	if (!$result2) {
		die('Invalid query: ' . mysql_error());
	}
} else {
	$query = "INSERT INTO track (site,hits) VALUES ('$site',1)";
	$result2 = mysql_query($query);
	if (!$result2) {
		die('Invalid query: ' . mysql_error());
	}
}
?>

You’re going to need to create a track.php file on your server and upload that code to it. You also need to create a database to use with it. Contact your host if you don’t know how to create a database. Enter the database login details on line 3, and your database table name on line 7 in place of foo. In the database create 2 fields. site as a text field and hits as an int field. Again, your host should be able to help you with that part.

Now to see which sites are getting traffic just go in to phpMyAdmin or whichever database tool your host offers and you can sort the list by the hits column.

The best part is, as new sites are added they are automatically supported because the script checks to see if the site is already in the database and adds them if they aren’t.
