Getting AdSense onto your Mambo or Joomla site

AdSense can be a great way to add some additional revenue, and fortunately adding AdSense to your Mambo or Joomla site is very easy. Some people prefer to use one of the ready-made modules, but I prefer to do it more manually. There is no real reason, but I like as much control as possible.

The first thing you will need to do is login to your AdSense account and generate your ad block. Now you’ll need to paste that into a new module. First, you’ll need to go to Site->Global Configuration and make sure that your WYSIWYG Editor is set to none. Then go to Modules->Site Modules and click the new button. Paste the AdSense code into your module content area and setup the position and display preferences. Save the module and you should now see the ads on your site. If they aren’t very targeted right away, don’t worry. It can take a couple days for Google to figure out what your pages are about and start serving relevant ads. This is a wonderful post. I have been trying for three days to get adsense to work on Joomla. I downloaded and installed the adsense module and still had been unsuccessful. Thank for this post.
